Cheer
I have been far too depressing here of late, what with my pulses on loneliness and the return of Monday. In an attempt to shake myself out of it, here is a somewhat positive blog.
Here is a photo:

The new curtains in my living room. I am too lazy so far to make the room presentable enough for photos, but there are the curtains. Wednesday night my mom called me to find out if I had a Kohl's near me because she had seen these curtains that she thought would be perfect, they are just so me. My living room has brown couch & armchair, dark wood bookshelf, and now dark wood coffee table. Also pillows which are tea and brown, and the rug (when I get it put down again) is teal and brown squares. So she saw these colors and immediately declared that they would be perfect. So I got them.
Ta da.
More photos to come when I am less lazy, perhaps.
Here is a funny picture:

I am thinking I should put it up at work. :P
Here is another funny picture:

I am not down with the hip lingo of today's kids. Also, I do not own a dog. Also, I do not own a grill (unless George Foreman counts). I am not the target audience for this joke. But I find it humorous.

I sometimes wonder if I am a hipster. Since "I read that book before it was a movie" applies to me, maybe I am.
Here is a Dilbert cartoon I found amusing.

Sadly, I don't think my employers will fall for this scheme.
This last photo is not funny.

This is a photo of my work-in-progress cross-stitch. Please tell me you can tell what it's supposed to be or else I will go cry.
And you don't want this post to end sadly, do you?

It looks like it's a violin with roses. I'm glad you're making progress with your new place and attempting to be more cheery. I should be attempting that myself right now.
a guitar, right?
love your curtains.
and your cartoons made me laugh.
now, go cross stitch and be happy.
A cello with moths flying about? JK Those were pretty interesting captions to the Walt Disney women. I didn't know they all had bad eyesight.
Too bad the dilbert cartoon got cut off. Maybe I should also regret I don't have premium?
@lanney - I'm not sure if they're roses or not, but yes. Violin with some flowers. :)
@promisesunshine - close, it's a violin. But you get a brownie point for trying. :)
@PPhilip - the last panel is the punch line. The boss says: "I will gladly pay extra to prevent you from procreating," and the employee says, "word it anyway you like." :)
@leaflesstree - i was joking.
@promisesunshine - okay well then you can have an actual brownie. :)
@leaflesstree - ok. standing outside with my mouth hanging open. just toss it out your window. thanks.
Hmm, maybe it's gardenias. I was never good with plants.
Hmm. Flute?
I like your curtains. You should presentable your apartment for our viewing pleasure. BOW TO THE WHIM OF XANGA. (At first I typed "whom" of xanga. Ha.)
A violin perhaps??? You're more cheerfull than you think you are... I mean come on. I look forwad to your Friday set list and anything else you post... (Do I get a gold star for sucking up????) Here we vent as it should be. Not here to judge. Poke fun at yes. And comiserate. And Mondays suck anyway. At least your closer to the weekend...
i'm thinking you were just fiddlin' around with that last pic... i'd like you to tell me where the color is in your life... besides the pink hearts, yellow moons, and green stars... hope all's groovy leafless one... it is kinda of a brown period here as well... not sure why...
