Playlist...Sunday?
No actual blog today. I will say, in case you cared to know but missed my pulse on the subject, that I am moved in but far from unpacked. Today's plans include grocery shopping (as I have no food) and laundry (as I have no clean clothes) and possibly a copious amount of pain medication. Ow. How was your weekend?
Anyway, here are some songs that I thought sort of fit today's date:
It's the first of April, which means that everyone is going to be writing serious things on Xanga and Facebook, and there will be no jokes at all. Would I lie to you?
When my Dad worked part-time at the supermarket where he met my mother, and eventually became part of the Conglomerate Company where I work (thought that actual store has closed), he used to use part of his money to buy records. So it was that my parents owned two Beatles records: Abbey Road and The White Album, and when I got old enough to understand what the Beatles were I used to listen to them both. The record is still around somewhere, but you can't listen to this track. I listened to it so much that it skips all over the place.
Lots of people hate this song. I suppose I can understand why. But I like it, so there. :P
I will now have this song in my head off and on in the near future. I hope you're happy.
This song is funny enough without the pictures. But there are some pictures and they are funny, so you should watch the video anyway.
Next week I shall return to semi-normal and have a Playlist Friday, though I dunno what the theme will be yet.

any day is a fine day for a playlist! good stuff leafless one!!!
Ha! I already had 'Enery the Eighth stuck in my head because I watched Ghost the other day. Very bizarre movie, not that I mind bizarre. The fact that my mom loves it is one of the things that will always baffle me about her.
I never heard Maxwell's Silver Hammer before. That's disturbing.
Gotta love A Boy Named Sue. That will always be a classic.
@xplorrn - haha, I knew you'd think so. Glad you liked. :)
@lanney - Ghost - the movie with Patrick Swayze? I don't remember that song being in that movie, but I haven't watched it in a while. I think one of the reasons a lot of people don't like Maxwell's Silver Hammer is because it's about some guy killing people, but it's sung in such a cheerful manner that it doesn't make sense. Also, some die hard Beatles fans don't like any of the funny songs, like that and Octopus' Garden. They only want the Serious, Deep songs.
I don't think there is a bad Johnny Cash song. Have you watched Walk The Line? It's not bad. I'm going to rewatch Standing In The Shadows Of Motown again. Remember when Music was really created???
@Zoz36 - I haven't, but I've heard nothing but good things about it. I know what you mean about the old stuff. I basically grew up on Motown. :)
Moving is so exhausting and I hope you get all moved in and settled soon.
@leaflesstree - Yep, that's what he sang non-stop to Whoopie to get her to go talk to Demi. It's a very effective song.
