Hump Day Photos
SORRY THERE ARE NO BUTTS IN THIS POST.
OR BOOBS.
OR CAMELS.
It's simply referencing the fact that today is Wednesday. And here are some photos that I took recently.
Yesterday was a busy but okay day. The weather was beautiful, so I went outside at lunch. At the opposite end of the parking lot, there is a stream and a bridge and I have found that the sound of the stream as it bubbles over the rocks helps me to empty my head. I suppose this is why people buy white noise machines. I remember an episode of News Radio when Dave, the over-stressed boss, got a white noise machine to help him relax. Except it relaxed him too much, and he was telling people to shush so he could hear his favorite cricket.
What does that have to do with anything? Oh, right, photos. Okay, here:

Looking down from the edge of the bridge. Luckily I did not drop my phone. O.o

More of the stream. In the distance above you can see a sign that fell into the water.

I don't think you can read the words in the zoom-in, but it says "Private Property. No Trespassing." To the right of the stream, not far away, the Company Property (which the Company really just rents, actually) ends and there is a very tall hill covered with trees and miscellaneous rubbish and at the top of the hill are some very expensive buildings which I'm not sure if they are condos or houses but they are expensive. The whole dagnab area is pretty expensive, which is why most people have a commute.
Anyway, this sign used to stand between the Company Property and the Expensive Homes, I guess to prevent us from going up the very steep hill or them from coming down the steep hill, I'm not quite sure. I don't know when it fell down because I haven't walked out there in a while and the last time I saw it, it was standing.
So that is all for the stream. Here, to hold your interest for a few more seconds, are some pictures of the sun.

I went last night to the gym and when I got out it was still sunny, but not for much longer. Not far from my apartment, I saw that the sun was very pinkish. So I took this picture and also:

This picture. It was slightly more impressive in real-life, but there are so many buildings in the way that it was hard to get a good photo.
That's all for the photos.
Also last night, I brought in the mail and found that I had my state refund check (still haven't mailed the federal forms, even though they're all filled out), some bills, and also a surprise from @randaness. Well, not really a surprise, since I knew it was coming. But now I know where she lives. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
ahem
I mean, now I can send her something nice, like a Christmas card. Yes, that's it. Or a St. Patrick's Day Card, since that's coming up. Yes, a card.

In other news, my head hurts. I think that I might finally be getting the sickness that struck the rest of the office, because this afternoon I was feeling light-headed and mildly nauseous. It's mostly passed now, but I'm also sitting on my couch and not moving. I ate something, so if the light-headed nausea was due to not eating (which happens periodically to me when I forget to eat), that will fix that. I felt sort of feverish before, too, and my back has been off-and-on aching for a few days. If I feel this crappy tomorrow, I'm going to email in sick, take some drugs, and go back to sleep.
I can't remember the last time I stayed home sick from work. I usually feel horrible about doing it if I'm not seriously dying or something, because my job involves me sitting on my fat behind for eight hours and I have to be really sick not to be able to do that.
But I'm getting ahead of myself. I'll see how I feel tomorrow when I wake up. I'll probably be fine, since this is not the first time that I've briefly felt sick only to then wake up feeling fine the next day.
So, that's all the news that's fit to type in this space. How was your hump day?

your photos from the bridge made me mildly nauseous, but that's because sometimes i'm afraid of heights. yes, only sometimes. but today is one apparently.
sorry you are poorly. i would like to remove my head until summer.
hump day was long, but it is nearly over. and this is good. i got to wear my shades and sit in the sun for 10 whole minutes. heaven. let me say that again... heaven.
@promisesunshine - I did that too, the sitting in the sun with shades on thing. It was indeed very nice. And quiet. :)
@leaflesstree - i'm going to do it again tomorrow. maybe even take a nap out there. (i'm extremely nap motivated lately)
I DEMAND CAMELS!
I wanted boobs.
@godfatherofgreenbay - smoking is bad for you. :P
@Rob_of_the_Sky - don't we all?
I like it! I also like your profile pic, although it really looks like an extra-terrestrial tree-like being . I don't know why.
I hope you wake up well.
I would have tried to walk across that sign. But then, I'm kind of dumb.
Now that looks peaceful. Good shots.
I always love the water and find it's energy peaceful and calming. All I want is a half way decent weekend seeing how I am at work and it could rain all week. But it was a nice day...
YAY mail!
If you send me a card I would be happy. Unless it's like a calling card - the kind left by assassins-for-hire or whatever. Then I would be sad.
@leaflesstree - This kind of thing is why you're invited to my wedding.
